About CUMULUS
There has never been a greater need for ocean data to inform human decisions, but too often, data get's stuck in proprietary servers and formats. CUMULUS is part of new paradigm for ocean data.
CUMULUS provides a unified hub for data from any sensor, as well as access to public data, all in standardized formats. This removes the time it takes to do data fusion, analytics, and AI by as much as 70%. And the CUMULUS solution works for both sides of the equation: (1) hardware providers and (2) data users both benefit.
Hardware providers
Their expertise is state-of-the-art sensors, not data management systems. CUMULUS provides a COTs data management solution without recurring development costs while simultaneously providing their customers expanded data management and analytic services.
Data Users
"Data Curation" is tedious. CUMULUS simplifies the whole process by delivering multi-modal data streams to a single platform in compatible formats, and offering data fusion capabilities with public data sets.
The Team
Ocean guy, meet Data guy. Josh and Neil serendipitously met over a good beer at Earth Eagle Brewery in Portsmouth, NH when, astonishingly, they both found themselves talking to uninterested friends about microcontrollers for data transfer. A partnership, and friendship, was born. Today, these co-founders of Coastal Measures continue to lead the company in the mission to provide easier access to environmental sensor data by fusing their unique expertise into a first-of-its-kind platform that brings ocean sensor data all into one place.
